THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! The 2008 season of American Idol is over and David Cook has been crowned the winner. Although "You Believed In Me" (written by Perry Smith with vocals recorded and performed by yours truly) did not win the American Idol Songwriting contest, I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to vote. You voted it into the TOP TEN! As you may know the three finalists were allowed to select a song from the top 10 to perform during part one of the finale on May 20. As it turns out, Syesha Mercado selected "You Believed In Me" and would have sung it that night had she not been voted off the week before. The reception to the song and especially the vocals has been overwhelming - THANK YOU! I congratulate Perry Smith on this achievement, and I am grateful to have been part of the "biggest songwriting contest on the planet."
